President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has emphasised that sincerity is the key to reaching goals and stated that in order to attain goals, one must work together and put in collaborative efforts. The President made the remarks while addressing the gathering held to inaugurate the official 2018 campaign office.
President Yameen urged everyone to work towards securing a second term for him, so that the development of the country would not stop and for the future of the country. The President appealed to everyone to support the developmental endeavors being carried out by the administration for the betterment of all Maldivian citizens.
The Free Trade Agreement between Maldives and China would boost the development of the country and direct development to a whole new course and bring out the economic transformations Maldivians truly deserve, highlighted the President in his remarks.
He called on all to defend the country at all times and noted that political leaders must be exemplary in that cause.
Furthermore, President Yameen thanked First Lady Fathimath Ibrahim for being a loyal companion and for her hard work and support. The President also thanked his supporters and senior officials of the administration.
The President was accompanied at the function by the First Lady, cabinet ministers, parliamentarians, and senior officials of the administration.
