Tourism Ministry urges to increase tourism marketing efforts

Deputy Minister of Tourism Hussain Liraar has stated with the rapid development of the Maldivian tourism industry, it is important to increase the efforts of marketing programmes conducted to promote the country as a tourist destination.

Addressing the opening ceremony held to showcase photographs of participants of Photography Ambassadors Programme of Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC), the Deputy Minister stated that photographs which showcases the true essence of the natural beauty of Maldives is an imperative aspect in advertising and marketing the Maldivian tourism industry.

Photography Ambassadors Programme of MMPRC has provided a platform for 5 photographers to showcase talents with assigned themes. The themes of photography for the programme include; spiritual side of life, Maldivian side of life, arial photography, romantic side of life and the photography of thrilling fun and colorful side of life.  

The photographers of the programme expressed elatedness as they received the opportunity to showcase their photography talent and highlighted that photography industry of Maldives seems bright and prosperous. MMPRC has planned to organise additional events to showcase photography skills of Maldivian artists.
