Tourist arrivals to the Maldives increased by 9% in October 2017, according to latest statistics released by the Ministry of Tourism, with 127,986 tourists arrivals to the Maldives. In October 2016, 117,489 tourists arrived to Maldives.
Majority of the tourist arrivals were from Europe, Asia Pacific and America. In this regard, the statistics showed that 62,800 tourists arrived to Maldives from Europe, with 57,685 tourists from Asia Pacific and 5008 tourists from America.
By the end of October 2017, over 1.1 million tourists have arrived in Maldives, which is an increase of 6% compared to the same period of last year, according to statistics.
