Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) has decided to participate in 15 international fairs in 2018 to promote the tourism industry of Maldives. MMPRC revealed that 5 of the 15 fairs will be held in January 2018, with most of the fairs scheduled for 2018 would be held in Europe. MMPRC is determined to boost the tourist arrivals and tourism industry, with already playing a notable part in the advancement of the industry in the past few years.
More than 998,000 tourists visited Maldives, in the first 9 months of this year, according to latest statistic by the Ministry of Tourism This is recorded as an increase of six percent compared to the same period last year.
In 2017, MMPRC particpated in 12 tourism fairs to promote the industry.
