The flag hoisting ceremony held by the Maldivian Embassy to mark the 49th Republic Day of the Maldives was honored by parliamentarian Selvam Adaikalanathan. The Maldivian flag was hoisted by the Ambassador of Maldives to Sri Lanka Mohamed Hussain Shareef.
Speaking at the ceremony, Ambassador Mohamed Hussain Shareef sent greetings of the 49th Republic Day to the President, First Lady and the people of Maldives. The Ambassador also expressed hope to further enhance the existing relations between Sri Lanka and Maldives.
Speaking at the ceremony, Selvam Adaikalanathan extended greetings of the day to the government and people of the Maldives.
