Registered Travelers Service to ease travel to British airports

Ambassador of Maldives to the United Kingdom Ahmed Shiaan has stated the establishment of Registered Travelers Service would ease the difficulties faced by Maldivians travelling to British airports.

In an exclusive interview with PSM News at the World Travel Market, the Maldivian Ambassador said the online registration for the Registered Travelers Service would be available 10 days prior to travel. With the registration, users can skip the airport immigration queue and directly get in to the United Kingdom through E-Gate systems, according to Ambassador Shiaan.

The Maldivian Ambassador further highlighted that over 81,000 people from around the world have already signed up for the service, and highlighted that the administration of President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has exerted great effort to make it a reality.

Maldives has opened Registered Travelers Service to countries such as Australia, Canada, Japan and New Zealand.
