Maldives holds first ever Maldives Accountants Forum 2017

Auditor General Hassan Ziyath has stated that the key aspect in the progress and development of a nation are the well ruled and established principles followed by the nation. The Auditor General made this statement while addressing the opening ceremony of the first ever Maldives Accountants Forum 2017.

Delivering the keynote address at the opening ceremony of the forum, Auditor General Hassan Ziyath stated that with the latest expansion and development of the economic sector of Maldives, while state income has increased and the total expenditure on state and social and further economic expansion has also increased. Auditor General Hassan Ziyath highlighted that financial market and the real Economy of Maldives have witnessed high end effects. Key aspect in the progress and development of a nation are the well ruled and established principles followed by the nation, stated Auditor General.

Chief Guest of the opening ceremony, Governor of Maldives Monetary Authority (MMA) Ahmed Naseer stated that the forum would provide an avenue for all professional auditors and accountants to deliberate on matters of mutual interest with key stakeholders. In addition, Governor Ahmed Naseer further highlighted the importance of building capacity of accountants through such continuous trainings. In addition to this Governor Ahmed Naseer stressed the need of qualified accountant professionals in the financial institutions.  

Maldives Accountants Forum 2017 which is an initiative of Auditor General's Office is expected to run to three days period from 6th to 9th of this month. Keynote note speakers from both India and Sri Lanka are scheduled to deliver keynotes at the national level forum.  This year's forum is held under the theme “Confidence through Quality and Commitment”.
