BML to stop issuing printed receipts for ATM withdrawals

Bank of Maldives (BML) has announced that it will stop issuing printed receipts for customers retrieving money from ATMs of the bank.

BML revealed that the abolishment would come into action on November 8, after which printed receipts would not be available for customers retrieving money from ATMs. Customers who deposit cash to ATMs would not be subject to the abolishment of printed receipts, according to BML. In addition, printed receipts would also be available for transfer services and transactions between companies and businesses.

Majority of customers are attaining details of transactions via the BML mobile application, according to a statement released by BML to announce the abolition of printed receipts. The bank highlighted that majority of the customers are registered to mobile phone notification service of the bank and stated that registration for the service can be completed via ATMs in an easy and simple process.

Furthermore, BML highlighted the inflation in the number of customers using internet banking service, with 9 out of 10 transactions been conducted on the digital platform. This year has seen BML bring numerous changes to the internet banking service, with the inclusion of additional and easy features that has received a rave response from the customers.
