Progressive Party of Maldives (PPM) has initiatesd a special symposium to train women leaders for the 2018 campaign of President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom. The symposium was inaugurated by First Lady Fathimath Ibrahim at Dharubaaruge convention centre.
The two day symposium is an initiative by First Lady Fathimath Ibrahim, in order to further enhance leadership skills and knowledge of women. More than 300 women will participate in the symposium, according to organisers.
President Yameen, cabinet ministers, parliamentarians, and senior officials of the administration were in attendance at the function to inaugurate the symposium.
