Maldives and India have begun the first round of Consular Talks, aimed at resolving issues facing the citizens living in both countries.
At the initial round of talks, consular matters of mutual interest were discussed. These include, issues faced by Maldivian nationals travelling and residing in India and also the issues faced by Indian nationals residing and working in the Maldives.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs delegation attending the consular talks is led by Secretary, Bilateral Ahmed Khaleel and accompanied by Ambassador of Maldives to India Ahmed Mohamed and Minister at the Embassy of Maldives in India Shazra Abdul Sattar.
