President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has conveyed greetings and good wishes to President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi and Prime Minister Sherif Ismail on the occasion of the Armed Forces Day of Egypt.
In his message, the President extended warm greetings and best wishes of the government and the people of the Maldives, to his counterpart, the government and the people of Egypt on the occasion of the anniversary of the Armed Forces Day. It further read that he trusted that the brotherly relations of friendship and co-operation that exist between our two countries will continue to strengthen in the years ahead.
In his message to the Prime Minister, the President expressed confidence that the brotherly ties of friendship and co-operation that prevails between our two countries will continue to reach greater heights in the years ahead.
The Armed Forces Day in Egypt commemorates the events that eventually brought back the control of the Sinai Peninsula from Israeli armed forces.
