A Parliamentary delegation of Progressive Party of Maldives (PPM) has travelled to Geneva in an attempt to discuss the current Maldivian political situation with European officials and to deliver accurate information about the misinterpretations in the international community regarding Maldives.
The delegation is headed by the Majority Leader of the Parliament Ahmed Nihan Hussain Manik, who is accompanied by parliamentarians Dr. Abdulla Khaleel, Ali Arif, Jameel Usmaan and Ahmed Shiyam. Furthermore, Permanent Representative of Maldives in Geneva, Hala Hameed also joined the delegation.
The delegation met with Organisation of Islamic Cooperation Troika to discuss strengthening multilateral cooperation and engagement at the Human Rights Council. During the meetings with diplomats, the PPM delegation cleared the misinterpretations and discussed enhancing cooperation with the international community.
