The first ever international multi disciplinary conference, Theveli 2017, has concluded at Maldives National University (MNU).
The conference was concluded with a gala dinner night held at the university. Local and international delegates from Sri Lanka, India, Oman, Germany and Australia participated in the first ever international multi disciplinary conference, Theveli 2017, which was conducted from October 2 to 3. The international conference had discussions and paper works presented on topics related to extensive research on education, economics, health, media, religion, tradition and laws.
The conference being the first of its kind proved to be a successful endeavor, Deputy Vice Chancellor of Administration of Maldives National University (MNU) Dr. Muawiyath Mohamed stated while addressing the gala night of Theveli 2017.
In addition, the Deputy Chancellor highlighted that the conference enriched the knowledge of delegates about topics in which the research papers were presented and thanked the keynote speakers which included the Former President Dr. Mohamed Waheed Hassan Manik and the Country Representative of World health Organization (WHO) to Maldives Dr. Arvind Mathur for the contributions at the conference.
Participants described the conference as an opportunity to widen their perspective on the topics discussed. They also described the conference as an optimum platform to as well known key note speakers addressed the delegates. Thaveli 2017, which was inaugurated by the Minister of Foreign Affars Dr. Mohamed Asim concluded on a positive note with hope for better and more successful conferences to follow in the coming years.
