President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom stated that teachers must be equipped with the essential skill sets to ensure quality education for students. The President made the statement while extending teachers day greetings and felicitations. President Yameen thanked the teachers all across Maldives for their hard work in educating the students and noted their contribution in building the future generation.
Moreover, the Minister of Education Dr. Aishath Shiham supported all the teachers and their work and advised the teachers to continue their service to the country. No amount of words can repay their services to the country, stated the Minister Dr. Aishath Shiham noting the fact that teaching is challenging. The Minister highlighted the hard work and efforts by the President and the First Lady to enhance the education system of the Maldives.
