Aasandha Company Limited has revealed that medical costs worth MVR300 million has been covered by the national health insurance scheme so far this year.
Addressing a news briefing held to unveil the latest statistics of the health insurance scheme, Managing Director of Asandha Company Limited Hussain Ali revealed that the largest expenditure has been on covering pharmacy bills which amounts to 26 percent of the total expenditure of about 300 million rufiyaa. In addition 20 percent of the total expenditure has been spent on hospital services.
Aasandha Company stated that with the establishment of new Tree Top Hospital, the medical expenditure is expected to decline.
