Maldives Road Development Cooperation (MRDC) reveals that the company has established road networks in a total of 5 islands, while road development projects are currently conducted in another 14 islands.
Most of the contracted islands for the new road development would be completed by the end of 2017, Acting Managing Director of MRDC Ahmed Mamdhooh revealed at a press briefing held to disseminate information on the latest works of MRDC. Road development project in Hanimadhoo Island of Haa Dhaalu Atoll and ring road development project in Fuvahmulah city would be completed by the end of next year, he stated.
At the press briefing, information were also disseminated on the latest updates of the project of developing 64 futsal grounds in Maldives and development of an Islamic Centre in Thinadhoo Island of Gaafu Dhaalu Atoll. MRDC stated that the civil work phase of 37 futsal grounds have been completed.
