A reception held to celebrate the 87th Saudi National Day

The Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs Adam Shareef has attended the reception held to celebrate the 87th Saudi National Day as the Chief Guest.

While addressing the function, the Acting Minister conveyed warm greetings on behalf of President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom, and the People of Maldives to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud and the brotherly people of Saudi Arabia on the auspicious occasion. Minister Shareef highlighted on the brotherly relationship between Maldives and Saudi Arabia and expressed appreciation and gratitude to the Government and the people of Saudi Arabia for being a key partner in the country's socio economic development. He also underscored the vital role of Saudi Arabia in the promotion of Islamic solidarity and Islamic values of respect and tolerance.

The reception hosted by Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Maldives Bader Ali Alkahail. The reception was held at Kurumba Maldives Resort and was attended by state dignitaries and high ranking officials of the Government.
