Dharumavantha Hospital to be opened on Independence Day 2018

Minister of Health Abdulla Nazim reveals that the government aims to inaugurate the Dharumavanatha Hospital as a major gift to the Maldivians on the occasion of Independence Day next year.

Health sector is one of the prime focuses of the administration of President Abdulla Yameen Gayoom, Health Minister stated while addressing a ceremony held to celebrate the concluding of concrete work. The largest investments of the government are seen in the health sector, Health Minister Nazim said. The government works to establish the hospital as one of the best service providing hospitals in the region and thereby reducing the number of Maldivians travelling abroad for health care, he added. The hospital would provide great advantages to the country and the citizens, he said.

The ceremony was held at the 25th storey of Dharumavantha Hospital, being developed by Singapore-based Shenhua Company.
