PSM signs agreements with partners of WTWC 2017

Public Service Media (PSM) has signed with the partners of World Travel Writers Conference 2017 which is an initiation targeted for international travel writers and tourism operators of Maldives.

The World Travel Writers Conference was initiated by Public Service Media (PSM) to open a window of opportunity to the tourism business operators of Maldives to advertise products and services at a valuable cost to a wider audience and feature Maldives in the international arena. The conference also works as a channel that will help to gain more exposure at an international level and by inviting stakeholders to be affiliated which will help to build a connection with relevant parties in the industry.

Managing Director of PSM, Ibrahim Khaleel signed the partnerships with the sponsors at a special ceremony held at Hotel Jen in Male' city. The partners of the event include relevant government ministries, companies and non-governmental organisations as well as established businesses in the tourism sector.

It is noteworthy that most of the famous institutions in the tourism industry are signed as partners of the event, with Adaaran Maldives and Coco Collection as the platinum partners. Gold sponsors for the event are Bandos Maldives and Kandima Maldives, while Hotel Jen and Maldives Airports Company Limited are the Silver Sponsors for the event. Several high-profile corporations like Maldives Association of Tourism Industry (MATI), Maldives Getaways, Liveaboard Association of Maldives with Maldives Customs, Immigration are included in the event.

Speaking at the signing ceremony of World Travel Writers Conference, Director, E-Commerce and Marketing of PSM, Ibrahim Nasreen emphasised on the importance given by the state media for the enhancement of tourism sector of Maldives. He highlighted the work conducted by PSM to promote Maldives as a luxury destination.

Speaking about the conference, Ibrahim Nasreen highlighted the mutual interest shared between locals to promote the country's tourism to a broader market. Conference will elevate the chances of boosting the exposure of Maldivian tourism and its business opportunities through mitigated discussions between global writers and seek concepts to publicise and market tourism, according to Nasreen. Moreover, he thanked the Managing Director and the board of directors of PSM for initiating such an event and noted that the aim is to turn the one billion dollar industry into one billion opportunities.

World Travel Writers Conference 2017 is to be held on September 17 at Bandos Maldives Resort. The gala night of the event is scheduled to be held on September 18 at Adaaran Hudhuranfushi.
