Statistics of the Ministry of tourism has revealed that tourist arrivals from Russia has increased remarkably in the month of July.
The latest statistics revealed that more than 34,760 tourists arrived from Russia in July 2017, which is an increase of 35% when compared to the same period of last year. Last July, 25,800 tourists arrived from Russia.
Most of the tourist arrivals are from the Europe Region, according to the statistics. Last July, there were more than 362,000 tourist arrivals from Europe which is a 10% increase compared to the same period of last year.
Germany, France, Russia, Italy and the United Kingdom are among the countries from which Maldives experience an outstanding amount of tourist arrivals. With Germany being the number one market from Europe, there were more than 66,000 tourist arrivals to Maldives.
