Maldives Gateways and the Air Asia have collaborated and commenced a travel fair aimed to promote Maldivian Tourism in Malaysia.
The travel fair which is held at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport aims to promote Maldives as the optimum tourist destination for budget vacation. Famous resort operators and guest house operators are participating in the fair. The organisers of the fair have opened for the visitors of the fair to upload photos of the fair to Instagram to win an all-expense paid vacation to Maldives.
The latest tourism statistics showed that the Malaysian Tourist Arrival has seen a gradual increase over the recent years. The Malaysian tourist arrival has grossed over 10,000 in the first half of the year, which is an increase of 29% compared to the same period of last year.
