Maldives participates in the First Meeting of South Asia Platform of Religious Leaders for Children.
On behalf of Maldives, Ibrahim Rasheed Moosa participated in the meeting held in Kathmandu, Nepal on September 5 and 6. The meeting of Religious Leaders for Children in South Asia was an opportunity to bring together various religious leaders to build a regional platform that would allow an exchange of best practices for children at community levels.

The conference was also aimed at building synergies across religions to promote the agenda of children in countries in South Asia. Discussions were held on important topics and participating countries submitted papers related to the issues, during the conference. On behalf of Maldives, Ibrahim Rasheed Moosa submitted the paper on the topic, Islam and Children.
