Chief Executive Officer of Tree Top Hospital, Grant Muddle has said they are in discussion with relevant authorities to introduce Aasandha Health Insurance Service in the Hospital. The hospital will be completed and opened for service within the next two months, according to the management.
Turkish company Tarmex is constructing the 170 bed tertiary level Tree Top Hospital in Hulhumale' with Ramsay Sim Darby of Malaysia contracted to manage the hospital. This is one of the largest investments by a private company to expand health care services in Maldives. Tree Top Health Private Limited had estimated the entire project to cost over USD 80 million. The company further said the hospital will revolutionise the entire health sector of the nation.
Speaking to PSM News, Chief Executive Officer of Tree Top Hospital, Grant Muddle said that final preparations to open the hospital are underway. The CEO said that the company is hoping to begin providing services to the public within the next two months. He noted that machineries and equipment installed in the hospital are being tested. The CEO stated that the hospital is having discussions with Aasandha Company Private Limited to provide the maximum output of their health insurance services.
Furthermore, Grant Muddle revealed that the new hospital would provide specialised services in cancer, kidney, hearing and other surgical treatments. Muddle stated that the hospital would have specialised services for women, children and rehabilitation services. The hospital also plans to be equipped with sea ambulance service and air rescue service.
