President appoints Ahmed Naseer as MMA Governor

President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has appointed Ahmed Naseer as the Governor of the Maldives Monetary Authority (MMA). President Yameen presented the letter of appointment to the Governor at the President's Office.

Parliament endorsed President Yameen's nomination for the governor of MMA at the parliament sitting held today, with votes from all parliamentarians who participated in the vote.

Ahmed Naseer, served at the Capital Market Development Authority (CMDA), MMA and later as the State Minister of Ministry of Finance and Treasury. The President decided to appoint Ahmed Naseer as the MMA governor following the resignation of Dr. Azima Adam from the post.
