Americans travelling to Maldives increase by 19%

Tourist arrivals from America to the Maldives totals to 18,295 within the first half of this year resulting in an increase of 19 percent compared to the same period of last year, according to statistics.

Travel agents from America has stated that Maldives is gradually becoming more familiar and admired among the travelers in America. They further stated that Maldives was among the top destinations that Americans travel during summer.

In comparison to last year's statistics, tourists traveling to Maldives increased by 117 percent, this year, according to American Express Travel Agency.
