The Non-Resident Ambassador of Maldives to Singapore, Hamdun Abdulla Hameed has called on the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Singapore, Dr. Vivian Balakrishnan.
At the call in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ambassador and the Foreign Minister reflected on the existing friendly relations between the Maldives and Singapore, and discussed further strengthening of cooperation and promotion between both countries in the areas of trade, economic cooperation, tourism and education.
Furthermore, the Maldivian Ambassador and the Singaporean Minister highlighted on the focus of building business linkages as well as collaboration between the youth of the two countries in the areas of community, culture and the arts. In addition, they discussed the mutual challenges in the region in the areas of environment, terrorism and security.
