Ministry of Foreign Affairs has said it is closely in touch with Maldivian students in Nepal and regularly checking their condition and needs in relation to the ongoing flooding situation caused by heavy monsoon rain.
Foreign Ministry said it was able to facilitate the provision of drinking water to the Maldivian students via the Honorary Consul of Maldives in Nepal. The Maldivian students in the affected areas have access to food and drinking water, according to the Ministry.
The Ministry also revealed that electricity is back and communication networks are working in the affected areas. Foreign Ministry assured that it will continue to monitor the situation and provide assistance as needed.
