Governor of Maldives Monetary Authority (MMA) Dr. Azima Adam has resigned from the post.
During a breifing held to announce the decision, Dr. Azima Adam cited that her resignation is due to personal reasons and noted that she is honored to have served and brought major advancement to the authority during her term. During the breifing, she highlighted on some of the achievements made during her term.

Following her resignation, President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has proposed Neeza Imad as the new Governor of MMA. Her nomination has now been sent to the Parliament for endorsement.
