MIRA posts a total income of MVR 2.1 billion in July

Maldives Inland Revenue Authority (MIRA) has posted a total income of MVR 2.1 billion in the month of July, which is an increase of 54.8% compared to that of last year.

The latest statistics released by MIRA reveals that the major component of income is dominated by the income from Business Profit Tax (BPT) which amounts to 42.9% of the total income. MIRA earned MVR 642.4 million from Goods and Services Tax (GST) and MVR 171.8 million as Bank Profit Tax.

Furthermore, in July, MIRA also received a total of USD 53.4 million as tax.
