FHAM International Culinary Challenge and Exhibition concludes

Food and Hospitality Asia Maldives (FHAM) International Culinary Challenge and Exhibition 2017 has concluded with over 530 exhibitors taking part in the exhibition this year.

The exhibition featured a barista competition, bed making competition, International Culinary Challenge, mocktail challenge as well as workshops and industrial seminars. At the seminar, the most outstanding culinary organization award was conferred to Hulhule' Island Hotel (HIH).

FHAM Exhibition and International Culinary is the leading annual festive for the hospitality industry of Maldives and gathers the entire tourism industry to meet under-one roof during the event. It attracts the owners, senior management and other staff of resorts, hotels, guest houses, safari boat operators and owners, restaurants and cafeterias to visit the exhibition that showcases a wide range of products and services offered by international and local companies to the tourism industry of Maldives.

This year, over 500 chefs and personnel from the purchasing departments of almost all the Maldivian resorts participated in the Culinary Challenge event setting a new record. The competition was judged by the Project Director and world renowned chef and honorary life member of the World Association of Chefs Societies (WACS), Alan Palmer, along with a panel of internationally certified judges, global award winning chefs and recognized professionals from the culinary world.

The certificates issued at the Culinary Challenge are highly recognized worldwide and are treated as a major achievement in the eyes of the participants.
