MVR 62 million to be invested on a police investigation sector

Maldives Police Service revealed plans to invest MVR 62 million on the development of its investigation sector.

Addressing at a press conference held at Iskandar Koshi, spokesperson of Maldivian Police Service Ahmed Shifan revealed that a Major Crime Management Centre has now been established to investigate major crimes in the society. The police spokesperson further revealed that this centre is comprised with high level experts in fields such as intelligence, technical response and forensics.

Ahmed Shifan highlighted that this department has the capacity and capability to investigate major crimes of the nation. Shifan further revealed that additional developmental plans of the centre is being planned. He added that the centre was established by the initiative of the Commissioner of Police.
