Dr. Shaheem delivers sermon at 'Hukuru Ufaa' Islamic festival

The world turns a blind eye to the thousands of innocent children being massacred in Syria but are unable to accept verdicts of capital punishment in a country as per Islamic Sharia, said Dr. Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed, Chancellor of Islamic University of Maldives.

In the sermon Dr. Shaheem highlighted various virtues of Islamic policies, most of which are based on redemption of the soul. Increase in crime rate in a community can be attributed to blunders in upbringing of our children, said Dr. Shaheem.
