Green Globe awards Park Hyatt Maldives Hadahaa Gold Status

Green Globe has awarded Park Hyatt Maldives Hadahaa Gold Status for continuous certification over five years. The global authority for sustainable tourism recognised the luxury five-star resort's commitment to making positive contributions to people and the planet. Green Globe Gold Member status is awarded to Green Globe members that are certified for five consecutive years.

The Sustainability Management Plan of the resort played a big part in being awarded Green Globe Gold Status, according to Park Hyatt Maldives Hadahaa. The plan, which is available to the public via the resort's website, outlines the importance the hotel places on environmental and socially sustainable initiatives.

The resort says Park Hyatt Maldives Hadahaa is dedicated to protecting the area's vibrant coral reefs and indigenous fish and plant life, even employing a marine biologist to monitor the island's reef.
