Maldives have won big at the World Luxury Spa Awards 2017. The awards ceremony was held at the JW Marriott Hanoi, Vietnam.
The World Luxury Spa Awards gives recognition and thanks to the luxury spa industry. Accepted as the pinnacle of achievement for luxury spas worldwide, the World Luxury Spa Awards were established as a celebration of ultimate achievement in service excellence.
The biggest winners from the Maldives this year were Devarana Spa at Dusit Thani Maldives who walked away with awards in Luxury Spa Retreat, Luxury Hideaway Spa, Luxury Island Resort Spa and Luxury Destination Spa categories. Sun Aqua Spa was also awarded in Luxury Destination Spa, Luxury Hideaway Spa, Luxury Boutique Spa, and Luxury Wellness Spa categories.
Meanwhile, the Iridium Spa at The Saint Regis Maldives Vommuli Resort walked away with awards in Luxury Boutique Spa and Luxury Wellness Spa categories. Other winners from the Maldives are Kokaa Spa at Kanuhura Maldives and Tamara Spa by Mandara at Lily Beach Resort winning in the Luxury Island Resort Spa category.
The Spa by Thalgo at The Sun Siyam Iru Fushi, SPA Cenvaree at Centara Ras Fushi Resort and Spa Maldives and Uspa Constance Halaveli were awarded in the Luxury Resort Spa category. The Spa at Hideaway at Hideaway Beach Resort and the Javvu Spa at Amilla Fushi walked away with awards in the Luxury Beauty Spa category.
The winner from the Maldives in the Luxury Wellness Spa category was the Talise Spa at Jumeirah Vittaveli, while the Shine Spa at Sheraton Full Moon Resort and Spa walked away with an award in the Luxury Hideaway Spa category. The Serena Spa in Hulhulé Island Hotel was also awarded in the Luxury Hotel Spa category.
Awards are presented to luxury spas in 32 different categories on a country, regional, continent and global basis. The 2017 Global Spa of the Year Award was given away to the Harnn Heritage Spa at InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort in Vietnam.
