Maldives Inland Revenue Authority (MIRA) has revealed plans to hold Tax week from 6 to 11 August.
Speaking about the proposed event, Principle Tax Officer of MIRA, Abdul-Gaffar Abdulla said that many activities are planned to be held as part of the tax week. The Principle Tax Officer said that an award titled "Ran Laari" will be conferred during the special function to be held as part of the tax week. He added that the award will be given to tax payers who have exemplary records in being prompt with payments and statements.
MIRA will also launch their official mobile application as part of the activity. The aim of the event is to provide the opportunity for authorities and public to witness the work carried out by the authority, according to MIRA.
