During their current official visit to the Maldives, Wife of the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Begham Kalsoom Nawaz Shareef has this evening met with First Lady, Fathimath Ibrahim.
During the meeting held at Mulee-aage, discussions were focused on improvement of social development in the Maldives, including advocating for the rights of children with special needs and the empowerment of women. Furthermore, they exchanged views on the charity work by the First Lady. Minister of Gender and Family, Aminath Zenysha Shaheed Zaki and Wife of Pakistan's Ambassador to the Maldives Noureen Ali Shah participated.
Furthermore, the First Lady Fathimath Ibrahim and Begum Kalsoom Nawaz Sharif also visited Jamaluddin School. The First Lady and Begum Kalsoom were welcomed at the School by Minister of Education Dr. Aishath Shiham.
During today’s visit the First Lady and Begum Kalsoom viewed a special cultural display exhibited by the students. Additionally, the First Lady and Begum Kalsoom planted ceremonial trees in the school compound.
