Prime Minister of Pakistan to make official visit to Maldives

President's Office has announced that Prime Minister of Pakistan, Mohamed Nawaz Shareef will make an official visit to the Maldives tomorrow.

The President's Office revealed that the Pakistani Prime Minister will arrive in Maldives, on a request of President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom, and will participate in the 52nd Independence Day activities, as the chief guest. The Independence Day activities will commence tomorrow and will conclude on July 27.

During the two day visit, the two leaders will hold official talks and a number of Memorandums of Understanding for cooperation in various fields are also to be signed. The Maldives and Pakistan share historic bonds of friendship, based on shared values, a common faith, and mutual interests. Diplomatic relations with Pakistan was established on 26 July 1966.

The Pakistani Prime Minister will conclude his official visit to Maldives on July 27, according to the President's Office.
