Maldivian to expand sea plane fleet

Island Aviation Services Limited has revealed that two new sea planes will be brought to Maldives and will join the largest sea plane fleet in the world.

These two seaplanes are to be brought to broaden the domestic flight services provided by the national airline, Maldivian. Currently 9 sea planes operate flights to resorts, with Island Aviation aiming to set up new domestic destinations by the end of the year.

Island Aviation expressed that with the initiation of additional services, the demand for their services is expected to see a major rise and has decided to adjoin two new sea planes to the fleet. Furthermore, Island Aviation had also introduced luxury sea plane service last year.

The sea plane service of Island Aviation was inaugurated on July of 2014.
