Maldives Getaways has revealed that the second edition of Travel Trade Maldives (TTM) will be held from 1st to 3rd 2018.
The second edition of TTM was extended to a three-day event in order to increase the number of pre-scheduled meetings among exhibitors and agents, according to Maldives Getaways. The company revealed that the first edition of TTM was a huge success.
Over 150 properties from Maldives took part in TTM 2017, while a contingent of over 200 operators, agents and media personals participated the two-day fair. TTM 2017 also saw the first ever Hotelier Summit with over 200 tourism professionals in attendance, attendees included resort and hotel general managers, resident managers, key hotel owners, international travel trade stakeholders and travel industry professionals. Also, over 3000 scheduled meetings took place over a period of two-days with over 1 billion U.S. dollar worth of business contracts were discussed.
Furthermore, the first ever Tourism Career Fair was also held during TTM 2017. More than 2000 visitors attended the tourism career fair which was a major component of TTM.
TTM is the first of its kind to be held in the Maldives acting as a platform where stakeholders of the industry met in one place to finalise deals that would define the tourism industry of Maldives. TTM saw the travel trade community of the Maldives connect with the local and global network of travel trade professionals easily and instantly.
