Public Service Media (PSM) has been appointed as the media partner of Maldives Model United Nations symposium.
An agreement was signed between PSM and Maldives Model United Nations at a ceremony held at PSM Radio Building Seneco Hall. The agreement was signed by Marketing and E-Commerce Director of PSM, Ibrahim Nasreen and Secretary General of Maldives Model United Nations, Aliya Ali Rasheed.
Speaking at the ceremony, Ibrahim Nasreen said PSM will always assist activities which promote youth empowerment. Aliya Ali Rasheed said that the model United Nations conference is open for youth between the ages of 14-25 and added that preparatory events are planned to be held before the main symposium.
The conference is to be held at Dharubaaruge convention centre with a total of 525 delegates. The conference aims to prepare participants to be better global citizens through quality educational experiences that emphasise collaboration and cooperative resolution of conflict. The conference also supports a world comprised of civically engaged people who strive for peaceful, multi-lateral conflict resolution and equitable, sustainable human development.
