Official function of Independence Day to be held on 27th

The President's Office has stated that the official function to mark the Independence Day, hosted by President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom and First Lady Fathimath Ibrahim will be held at Dharubaaruge on the evening of 27th July. The President's Office also revealed that it is currently sending out guest invitations to the event.

The independence of Maldives was officially proclaimed on July 26, 1965, following an agreement with the United Kingdom.
