Australian Ambassador pays courtesy call on Foreign Minister

Ambassador of Australia to Maldives Bryce Hutchesson paid a courtesy call on the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Mohamed Asim.

During the call, the Minister and Ambassador discussed bilateral relations between the Maldives and Australia, and ways of further strengthening the existing ties. The Ambassador assured his commitment to working with the Government of Maldives in strengthening the relations between the two countries and guaranteed Australia's continued support, particularly in human development.

The meeting was attended by Secretary, Bilateral Ahmed Khaleel and Assistant Director Shiuneen Rasheed of Foreign Ministry. Ambassador Hutchesson was accompanied by Second Secretary of the Australian Embassy in Sri Lanka Nicholas Burnett.
