President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has conveyed felicitations, in separate messages, to the President Donald Trump and Vice President Mike Pence on the occasion of the Independence Day of the United States of America.
In his message to President Donald Trump, he said as the Government and the people of the United States commemorate their Independence Day, it gives him great pleasure to convey warm greetings and sincere good wishes of the Government and the people of the Maldives to the Government and the people of the United States.
“I hope that the close relations of friendship and understanding that exist between our two countries will continue to strengthen in the coming years. May I also extend, Excellency, my personal best wishes for your good health and well-being, and for the continued progress and prosperity of the people of the United States,” the message further read.
