Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr. Mohamed Asim has met Minister of Marine Affairs and Fisheries of Indonesia, Susi Pudji-aastu-ti.
During the meeting held at the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries of Indonesia, both dignitaries discussed to cooperate in the fisheries sector for mutual benefit by engaging bilaterally and as well as international fora. The ministers also discussed the importance of combating illegal, unreported and unregulated (IUU) fishing in the Indian Ocean region.
After the meeting the minister had a guided tour of the real-time vessel monitoring system which is effectively online, covering the Indonesia region in countering IUU fishing.
