Ministry of Economic Development has conducted negotiations with Kunming City's businessmen, regarding the import of fruits and vegetables to Maldives.
The delegation, headed by Minister of State for Economic Development Adam Thaufeeq met with suppliers in Kunming, to hold talks on expanding the scale at which, fruits and vegetables and flowers are imported to Maldives. The meeting was also attended by the Managing Director of the Business Centre Corporation.
The delegation also met with the Yunan Maldives Working Group. In the meeting held with the Yunan Maldives Working Group, discussions centered on how the health and education sector in Maldives can be developed.
The delegation has been conducting several activities to market Maldivian products at the Kunming Fair. Four companies are participating in the Kunming Fair.
