Maldivian completes first test flight to Kudahuvadhoo Airport

National Airline Maldivian has successfully completed the first test flight to Kudahuvadhoo Airport, located in Dhaalu Atoll.

Minister of Tourism Moosa Zameer, Parliament Member for Kudahuvadhoo constituency Ahmed Amir along with other parliament members travelled to Kudahuvadhoo on the test flight.

The airport developed at Kudahuvadhoo Island by the government will be the most spacious airport among all Domestic airports in Maldives. The airport was developed by reclaiming land from the Lagoon and approximately USD 20 million was invested in the project. A private jet parking area is to be established at the airport which comprises of an 1800 metre long runway.
