Dr. Jonathan Edward Austin, Ambassador of New Zealand called on Dr. Mohamed Asim, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Maldives.
At a meeting held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs yesterday, the Minister welcomed the Ambassador and noted the close bilateral relations between the Maldives and New Zealand, and discussed ways of further strengthening the existing ties between the two countries, including in areas of climate change.
Foreign Minister Asim was accompanied by Ahmed Khaleel, Secretary, Bilateral and Rishfa Rasheed, Assistant Director at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Ambassador was accompanied by Gabrielle Chin, Policy advisor of the Embassy of New Zealand.
