Final results of the Local Council Elections announced

Elections Commission of Maldives announces the final results of the Local Council Elections held on the May 6, 2017.

The commission has announced results for three city councils, 18 atoll councils, and 181 island councils. Elections Commission began announcing the final results yesterday afternoon, they completed announcing the preliminary results on Monday.

The Commission is mandated to announce the final results of an election, within 14 days of its completion, according to the Election Commission Act.
