Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) has launched its Nurse's Research Committee.
The research committee established at IGMH was inaugurated to formulate a system to provide the information necessary for the nurses and to support nursing research and evidence- based practices. It also aims to encourage the nurses to do more research work. The committee comprises of experienced 8 nurses. The committee was launched by a Minister of Health Abdulla Nazim Ibrahim, at a special function held to celebration the international nurse's day.

Speaking at the ceremony, CEO of IGMH Brigadier General (Rtd) Faruhath Shaheer said that nurses should provide the best services and at the same time be able feel compassion and provide comfort for the patients. He urged the nurses to stay positive at all times and continue providing the services.
At the function held to celebrate the nurse's day, nurses who served the hospital continuously for 30 to 40 years were presented with plaques. The plaques were handed over by the Health Minister.
Furthermore, the nurses' song and a video post showcasing services of the nurses were released.
