Maldives TV promoted at Malaysia International Cultural Festival

Public Service Media (PSM) has participated in the Malaysia International Cultural Festival 2017. The one day festival saw PSM promote the country's first international television channel, Maldives TV.

An initiative by Limkokwing University, Malaysia International Cultural Festival 2017 is an annual festival held by the university where the rich culture and history of the universities international community is showcased. Through this festival students showcase, culture, traditions and relevant aspects of their countries. PSM decided to participate in the festival in order to market the Maldivian brand of tourism in a festival attended by people from various countries. Through various video presentations about Maldives, posters and leaflets, Maldives was promoted as a tourist destination.

Maldives TV brand was officially launched on November 7, 2016 at WTM London. Maldives TV is also the first international channel in the Maldives. The channel is mainly targeted at tourists, who wish to explore the beautiful archipelago and experience the rich culture of the Maldives.
